Jason And Fabiane.jpg

DIRECTOR: JASON RESENDE

Jason Resende is Brazilian, married to Fabiana Barrientos, a naturalized Chilean. They have two children, Karine and Walter Hernan. The Resendes live in Uberlandia, Brazil where Jason serves as the Materials Department-Translations Director and Latin America Representative.

Jason’s prior experience brings many skills to his role:

  • He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

  • Graduated in Accounting and postgraduate in Controllership and Finance, and Administrative Health Support. He has been called a “bookman” since he has worked with books in the Brazilian army, in the church, and in accounting.

  • He was an officer in the Army, where he gained experience working with large groups.

  • A Pastor in the "Sal da Terra" ministry where he works with missionary travel planning and helps in a Congregation called "Parque do Sabiá."-

Jason enjoys working with relationships: learning and teaching, helping and being helped, making contacts and sharing them with others... and all the time remembering that "for by grace we have been saved through faith, and that not of ourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them." (Ephesians 2:8-10)

Patty Hansen.jpg

ADMINISTRATOR & MATERIALS DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR: PATTY HANSEN

Patty has worked with Dr. Mark Williams as his Executive Assistant at Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI) from 2008 to 2016. She brings a management leadership background with her as she takes on the role of Administrator and Materials Department Director with Discipleship Journeys with Jesus. Her 14 years as a drug store manager have taught her many skills that help the business side of ministry. Patty also serves in several ministries in her church, New Song Community Church. While she loves serving in all of them, her most treasured time is spent leading a women’s small group and one on one discipleship. Patty says “One of my biggest joys as a small group leader at New Song Community Church has been helping women to grow into a deeper relationship with Christ.” From 2008 through the present, Patty has also homeschooled her son, Matthew (pictured). Thankfully he has transitioned to the 4-day program on campus as of Fall 2018. Overcoming the challenges of being a solo parent as well as homeschooling a child with special needs has been a rewarding experience.
